Welcome to Young Families
At Central, we know how challenging parenting with intention can be. Our groups help you grow in your own faith journey while also leading your children to a personal relationship with Jesus. If you have questions or need to connect in any way, reach out to our Family Ministries team at nextgen@centralcc.ca.
No parent should feel like they’re figuring it out on their own.
Family Group Night
A midweek evening designed to help families connect with God and each other in a relaxed and meaningful way. Wednesdays; the next session starts October 2026. Groups run in 6-week sessions during fall and winter, and a shorter 4-week session in spring.

5:30pm to 6:30pm
Start your evening with dinner in our cafe. No cooking, no dishes! Our cafe team has a hot meal ready, with kid-friendly options and adult and kids pricing every week.

6:00pm to 7:15pm
After dinner, join an encouraging parent group tailored to meet you where you’re at, each led by caring, trained volunteers who are navigating family life just like you.

Same Evening
Kids from birth to Grade 5 have their own program from 6:00pm to 7:15pm. Jr. Youth meets 6:30pm to 8:00pm and Sr. Youth 7:00pm to 9:00pm, so the whole family lands on the same night.

Parents of younger children. Teaching, conversation and support as you navigate life as a family. Led by Pastor Conrad Huggins.
Raising teenagers in today’s world is both challenging and rewarding. Connect with other parents of youth while Jr. and Sr. Youth run the same evening.
As a single parent, you face unique challenges, and we want you to feel understood, supported and not alone. You are welcome at any table, including our table of single parents.
Whether you have full, part-time or joint custody, navigate this new normal with a God-first approach, friendship and support.
Connection with other adoptive and foster families who understand your journey. Led by Nathan and Jenn Pelissero.
Moms + Kids
Year round
Our year-round Moms + Kids Meet-ups are casual, friendly spaces where moms and kids can do life together and support each other in the challenges of motherhood. In the spring and fall they happen in our group leader’s backyard, and during the colder months at Central in Auditorium B on Wednesday mornings. Kids have space to run and play while moms chat and encourage one another.
Gather Moms. No Kids.
Once a month, moms of faith gather for an evening of social time and food, to support, encourage and grow together. Fridays, 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Moms only, led by Tanya Garvie and Tammy Palumbo.
For Parents
We want to be a part of your child’s growth in their faith.
One of our goals at Central Kids is to partner with families and help you as you lead your child in the ways of God. Each Sunday in our Kids’ Experience, your child learns a new Bible story. With the Parent Cue app, you can connect with your kids about what they learned throughout the week. There are also four devotionals each week and a monthly memory verse you can do together, all found on the app.
